reclaimed southern pine, sapele, walnut

Slices of a southern pine rescued and repurposed, as stools, from the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. Each piece has a seat scooped out for comfort and is then torched and sealed with oil to attain its rich, dark texture, this finish makes the pieces suitable for exterior use as well. Every stool features legs and drawers of sapele or walnut that are hand-turned from shop cut-offs. Mortise and tenon joinery creates superior strength.
