I designed and built this media console last winter. It has an interesting story. The client came to me with a set of old Teak legs she had rescued several years ago from a cabinet that had been discarded in her neighbor's yard after he passed away. Her neighbor had been the Polish painter Sigmund Menkes. She had been holding onto them for sometime and wanted to incorporate them into a piece. Being Polish myself and familiar with the artist's work made breathing new life into these Danish inspired legs a thrill. The piece is made from Walnut, Reclaimed Teak Legs and features a Reclaimed Pine Drawer with Shaped Spalted Maple Pull.
